2019 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony

2019 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony

Thandie Newton, Lupita Nyong’o and Rachel McAdams were joined on the red carpet at the 2019 Breakthrough Prize on Sunday (November 4) in Mountain View, California, by these three lovely ladies.

Lily Collins: The actress wore an pretty Markarian white sequin dress featuring a fluid drape which you may be surprised to know hails from the designers Bridal Spring 2019 collection. Often we can spot a Bridal dress from a mile off, but this one doesn’t set off the wedding march playing in your head. That might be due to the fact that we association bridal dresses with big puff skirts and long trains, or possibly because most brides wouldn’t wear black Roger Vivier pumps with their white dress on their big day. A Jimmy Choo ‘Ciggy’ clutch completed her look.

Julianne Moore: There was so much elegance oozing from her Prada gown accented with cocoa sequin embroidery and an open back. The jewels heightened the luxe appeal.

Karolina Kurkova: Gabriela Hearst has become one of the go-to designers for celebrities when it comes to womens suiting. Here Karolina showcases her fine craftsmanship, and attention to detail with the contrast stitching, while adding a touch of flair of her own with a graphic clutch.

Louis Vuitton X Grace Coddington: New York City Pop-Up Opening Event

Louis Vuitton X Grace Coddington: New York City Pop-Up Opening Event

Louis Vuitton hosted an event to unveil the Louis Vuitton X Grace Coddington Collaboration at an exclusive pop-up store in New York City’s Meatpacking District.

All the expected LV lovies were there, excluding Jennifer Connelly, much to my surprised.

Julianne Moore: I know what you’re thinking. “Thank god she didn’t wear those gold boots,” and I would agree. This Louis Vuitton Spring 2019 dress has enough to contend with considering the bold print and asymmetric layers; throwing gold rubber, over-the-knee boots into the mix would’ve been catastrophic.

Michelle Williams: While the actress appears to be the odd one out with her chic office inspo attire, this Resort 2019 look works better for Michelle than some of the more fashion-forward pieces that don’t always work for her.

Sienna Miller: Not many can sell those rubber boots to me, but the nonchalant way that Sienna is working this Resort 2019 ensemble consider me sold on this look.

Julianne Moore In Givenchy – 2018 Gay Men’s Health Crisis Annual Gala

Julianne Moore In Givenchy - 2018 Gay Men's Health Crisis Annual Gala

Julianne Moore opted to go with her animal instincts for the 2018 Gay Men’s Health Crisis Annual Gala on Tuesday (October 9) in New York City.

For someone who tends to sticks to black, I’m enjoying this walk on the wild side with this dynamic flecked leopard print shirt paired with slim tonal white trousers to tame it.

Smoldering eye makeup and pink lips rounded out her look along with her favourite Gianvito Rossi sandals.

Do you think the look would’ve been more impactful with black trousers?

Julianne Moore In Givenchy - 'The Happy Prince' New York Screening

Julianne Moore attended ‘The Happy Prince’ New York screening on Monday (October 8) in New York City.

Despite opting for a bright colour, her Givenchy Resort 2019 dress was an ode to modern simplicity, with a forward-looking aesthetic thanks to the technical-pleated fabric.

I love how she complemented the futuristic style codes with chunky white pumps, and I’m glad the black bag is out of shot.

Julianne Moore In Salvatore Ferragamo – Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia 2018

Julianne Moore In Salvatore Ferragamo - Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia 2018

Julianne Moore joined Cate Blanchett on the red carpet for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards on Sunday (September 23) in Milan, Italy, where she presented the The Art of Craftmanship to the cobblers of Ferragamo.

The actress wore a head to toe Salvatore Ferragamo.

Her custom jersey dress made of perPETual, an innovative material made of plastic recovered from the seas and transformed into yarn, was paired with sustainable sculpted heel sandals and Chopard jewels.

This is a perfect representation of how fashion can be eco-friendly, and how purple is just one of many colours that looks breath-taking on Julianne.

Julianne Moore In Sonia Rykiel – Late Night with Seth Meyers

Julianne Moore In Sonia Rykiel - Late Night with Seth Meyers

Julianne Moore has been busy promoting ‘Bel Canto’ and ‘Gloria Bell’ recently, and her latest stop was for the ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ show on Wednesday (September 19).

I will always respect Julianne’s preference to wear black, mostly because she has a knack of keeping things interesting, but when she wears bold colours like this Sonia Rykiel Resort 2019 look, I’m likely to go weak at the knees.

Nodding to classic shirting, this look exudes a high level of chic appeal – especially with those pleats.

The only full-length picture – which was in black and white – shows that Julianne didn’t wear the snakeskin belt, which allowed for a more effortless presentation of the look.
