Lily-Rose Depp Serves Up No Surprises In Chanel For ‘The King’ New York Premiere

Lily-Rose Depp In Chanel - 'The King' New York Premiere

Lily-Rose Depp joined co-star Timothee Chalamet for the New York premiere of ‘The King’ held at the SVA Theater on Tuesday (October 1).

I have never really been one to laud over Lily-Rose’s style.

Something about the fact she’s always wears Chanel, and the nepotism, allowed her red carpet looks to wash over me.

But something about her turn during Venice Film Festival made her appear less like a model fresh-out-of-the Chanel factory, and more like a bonafide star in her own right, in my eyes.

I love how the simple removal of that white bow enhanced the sophistication and appeal of her Chanel Resort 2020 dress.

Someone might have hoped for something a little bit more dramatic considering the Venice look, but different stages, require a different approach.

This works for me in New York.

Best dress I’ve seen on her but something about her overall looks scream thirsty to me. She’s still exceptionally young (at least to me) and she’s gone for “underclothed” looks for years now- not sure if it’s her age or she’s attention-seeking or both.

Pretty but nothing special. Kind of a let down for Chanel. I expect more.

Nice dress and 100x better without the white bow! I wish she had gone with a different shoe and a pink lip but it suits her perfectly as presented.

It’s very chic look. Was thinking about red/pink shoes but the black works very well.

Fug. Looks cheap and not like a Chanel at all.

Without the bow, this dress is just whatever and maybe even dated and cheap looking. It does not look like a Chanel dress IMO.

I think its a lovely dress. Certainly better without the white bow.
Simple and it fits her beautifully.

    This dress is Chanel? Awful.

I wish she had keep the bow, it added some charm to quite a dull dress.

I don’t think anyone under 20 would want to wear such a print. Even my mom(in her 60s) will say this print looks very granny.
