Rachel Brosnahan In Christian Dior Haute Couture – 2019 Tony Awards

Rachel Brosnahan In Christian Dior Haute Couture - 2019 Tony Awards

Rachel Brosnahan was back on the red carpet following for the 2019 Tony Awards held at the at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (June 9) in New York City.

Wow. Where do I start?

Perhaps by being totally honest by saying nothing works for me here.

Not the colour of her Christian Dior Spring 2019 Haute Couture gown, which is washing her out.

Not the terribly aging hairstyle, and not the makeup, which is doing nothing to save this look.

The dress itself is gorgeous, but it’s not right for Rachel by any stretch of the imagination.

The color of the dress matches her eyes perfectly. I don’t think this look is as awful as everyone is saying.

I agree with everything in your post Catherine, there’s nothing I like about this look.

The color of that dress is just not right for her. Ya, washes her out. And her hair color too. esp with this dress color.
    Super cute earrings though.

She’s a dead ringer for Evan Rachel Wood with that hair. I don’t hate this, actually. It’s forgettable but not offensive.

The dress is beautiful, but the colour makes her look so sad and washed out.

Minority I guess….I like this, it’s such a lovely dress and I feel like she pulls it off though I agree her brunette hair would have made it more impactful.

Yes, she needed her original hair colour to make this work.

My first thought on seeing this was Welcome to Dullsville, Population 1. This does nothing for Rachel. She looks totally washed out.

People need to study carefully about what works better for their skin complexion. You’d think celebs stylists would totally get that aspect of their job?

She looks…. desaturated. As if someone had a real-life Saturation preset and turned it all the way down just for her.

      Perfect description!

I find her style to be very very meh.
She needs to turn it up, her looks are always bland

    So pretty and ethereal.

The color of the dress looks lovely on the model, it doesn’t work on Rachel.
The make up and the hair are not working either.

With her brunette hair but sans that awful eye makeup and this would have been a lovely look.

  14. Guest June 10, 2019 at 2:03 pm #

The dress totally washes her out. I think she looks best as a brunette.

The blonde hair makes her look really bland :/
