Katy Perry In Moschino – 2019 Met Gala

Katy Perry In Moschino - 2019 Met Gala

So, if you’re anything like me, your first thought after glimpsing Katy Perry at the 2019 Met Gala on Monday (May 6) in New York City was that she had dressed up as Lumiere from ‘Beauty and the Beast.’

And, that she had done so quite well… as this Moschino Fall 2016 contraption was fully functioning in its light-producing capacity.

Her double chandelier-candelabra moment certainly sparked endless puns on her ‘lit’ ensemble — leave it to Katy to ignite the light and let it shine.

It was certainly one of the most memorable looks of the night. Would you agree?

    she tried,but failed miserably.
    Camp dose not mean costumy.
both the Chandelier and Burger dresses are ridiculous

This is a costume, not camp.

She should’ve worn the runway version!

She tried so hard but fail so hard.

Wow 100x better on the runway

I mean it’s bold but I don’t see how it’s camp. It works but not my favourite.

ya I also find it silly. Its just not very pleasing to the eye. Those shoes are just awful. And really help to bring it down.
Its just not flattering. at all. for her.

Once again feels more like a gimmick to me..as compared to the actual fashion drama as done by Cardi B, for ex.

This looks ridiculous. Camp does not mean costume.

It works well for this theme that Katy Perry has never been afraid of looking ridiculous – this is one of the more memorable ones of the night but I’m not sure if it’s all for the right reasons

MAJOR EYEROLL. Also, I much prefer the runway version.

lol this gave me a good laugh, and I’m sure all the memes to come will too.

katy Perry really nailed the theme but it’s not surprising since she’s often more campy than not. However I’m not the biggest fan of the shoes.

I’m okay with the bottom piece of the chandelier I think but the headpiece just looks ridiculous. Also the length of the dress and shoe so high in the front is very unflattering.

      those shoes are fugly

She looks dumb AF and I fail to see how it suits the theme. She always tries so hard at the Met and it rarely pays off.
