Katy Perry In Atelier Versace – 2018 Met Gala

There were two thoughts that immediately occurred to me upon seeing Katy Perry alight at the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

1. Touched by an angel took on all new meaning, as her Atelier Versace gold chainmail-inspired mini styled with theatrical, angelic wings quite literally took into account the ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’ theme.

2. Victoria’s Secret called, and they want their Angel wings back.

Naturally, the over-the-knee boots came out to play, too.

Katy Perry In Romona Keveža – American Idol

Katy Perry was a vision in lavender when she appeared on the latest episode of ‘American Idol’ on Monday (April 23) in LA.

There was a time when the songstress’s colourful, kaleidoscope style could have been pegged as a bit kitschy.

But, here, the ‘American Idol’ judge has proven that sophistication and a playful colour spectrum don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

I love how her petal-pink pixie cut resonated with this pastel Romona Keveža lilac gown that scintillated with paillettes—the chandelier earrings offering the final glam touch.

Fun elegance at its finest. Would you agree?

Katy Perry is Instaglam in Versace

Katy Perry has been no stranger to Versace ensembles, favouring a few of the Spring 2018 tribute looks recently on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ and ‘American Idol.’

I have loved seeing the ‘American Idol’ judge and entertainer really command the looks from top to toe, as she has the particular brand of glam spunk and spirit that suits the label so well.

That was evident yet again in this Versace Pre-Fall 2018 Instaglam moment seen on set of ‘American Idol’.

I had no problem hopping fully aboard that hot-pink scooter with this pretty-in-pink dress and matching tights.

I loved the bold shoulder that reinforced the strong yet soft silhouette that Katy took to the next level with her glitzy earrings and bold makeup cues.

Katy Perry In Versace – Jimmy Kimmel Live

Katy Perry paid a visit to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Monday (March 5) where she promoted ‘American Idol.’

The judge showed her spots in a Versace Spring 2018 ensemble.

It was loud, playful and very much in her wheelhouse, particularly the colourful vintage aesthetic she has been referencing of late.

People are sometimes let down by the costumey elements of her outfits, but that didn’t happen here.

I love the glamorous overtone with the animal prints, sleek hair, bold makeup and chunky jewelry.

It’s a lot of look, but that is precisely the vibe, and she carried it off with aplomb.

Katy Perry In Atelier Versace – Byron Allen’s Oscar Gala Viewing Party

Katy Perry attended Byron Allen’s Oscar Gala Viewing Party on Sunday (March 4) in Los Angeles.

The singer wore an Atelier Versace gown with Sylva & Cie earrings.

This dress is really so perfectly Katy, right? The gem-encrusted strap work and top-to-bottom sequins and beading is glamour to the highest degree, but with plenty of pop star glitz. And of course, it’s got a hefty dose of sex appeal, too.

I love how Katy is working her ultra short, ultra blonde ‘do, and it really does highlight this whole pop queen look perfectly.

Katy Perry In Versace – American Idol

After spending time with Minnie Mouse, Katy Perry was spotted at the ‘American Idol’ set in LA on Tuesday (January 23).

While the cutesy factor was high with Minnie, there would be none of that here, as she underwent a 180-degree shift in a head-to-toe ensemble from the Versace Spring 2018 Tribute Collection.

If there was ever a look that encompassed iconic Versace style, this would be it—from the signature, immediately recognizable baroque print right down to the Medusa logo belt and black tribute leather sandals with gold accents from the Versace Spring 2018 runway.

Some might say this ventures on the stylistic indulgent end, but I like how Katy fully committed to the unapologetically extravagant look.
