Katy Perry In Alexis Mabille Haute Couture – amfAR Los Angeles 2018

Katy Perry In Alexis Mabille Haute Couture - amfAR Los Angeles 2018

Each time I think of Katy Perry’s Galia Lahav Couture pink jumpsuit from last week I do a full body shudder.

So I was happy to see that things were much improved for the amfAR Gala Los Angeles 2018 on Thursday (October 18) in Beverly Hills, California.

The singer wore a custom Alexis Mabille Fall 2018 Haute Couture gown in a summery blue hue.

Are the extra feathers and tulle OTT?

I would say no. She has the personality to pull off a look like this, and besides, this was a gala. So go big or go home.

But the best thing about this look….no $3.99 wig.

Katy Perry In Galia Lahav Couture – QVC ‘FFANY Shoes Gala

Katy Perry In Galia Lahav - QVC 'FFANY Shoes Gala

When I saw Katy Perry at the 25th Annual QVC ‘FFANY Shoes on Sale’ Gala on Thursday (October 11) in New York City, the words, “where do I start?” spring to mind.

The Positives:
• This Galia Lahav ‘Shirley Temple’ jumpsuit from the latest ‘And God Created Woman’ Couture collection looked great on the runway.

The Negatives:

• This jumpsuit feels too girlish on Katy

• There is way too much pink going on. Even if there was a chance of this working, she overcooked the pink with the headband, gloves, nails and pumps.

• The hair. God lord the hair. Was this the cheapest looking wig she could find?

• The bodice. I mean, the under boobage is so supremely tacky, we need a new word for tacky. This was the major fault of the look, and at this point when she looked at herself in the mirror and panned to the chest, the next words to her stylist should’ve been, “what other options do we have?”

If you find anymore positives or negatives, please feel free to share in the comments below.

Katy Perry In Tom Ford – Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean 2018

Katy Perry In Tom Ford - Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean 2018

Katy Perry joined Princess Charlene of Monaco for the Global Ocean Gala on Wednesday (September 26) in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.

The singer is known for either her quirky style or princess gowns, but this Tom Ford Spring 2018 edges more to her contemporary style thanks to its construction and dazzling embroidered sleeves.

You may be having a case of deja vu, but this is the first time we are seeing this ruched dress with on the red carpet.

Many versions have been worn by Rita Ora, Cardi B and Serena Williams, but perhaps déjà vu wasn’t on your mind, as this event marks a first appearance for Katy and Orlando Bloom as a couple on the red carpet.

Katy Perry In Atelier Versace – 2018 Met Gala

There were two thoughts that immediately occurred to me upon seeing Katy Perry alight at the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

1. Touched by an angel took on all new meaning, as her Atelier Versace gold chainmail-inspired mini styled with theatrical, angelic wings quite literally took into account the ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’ theme.

2. Victoria’s Secret called, and they want their Angel wings back.

Naturally, the over-the-knee boots came out to play, too.

Katy Perry In Romona Keveža – American Idol

Katy Perry was a vision in lavender when she appeared on the latest episode of ‘American Idol’ on Monday (April 23) in LA.

There was a time when the songstress’s colourful, kaleidoscope style could have been pegged as a bit kitschy.

But, here, the ‘American Idol’ judge has proven that sophistication and a playful colour spectrum don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

I love how her petal-pink pixie cut resonated with this pastel Romona Keveža lilac gown that scintillated with paillettes—the chandelier earrings offering the final glam touch.

Fun elegance at its finest. Would you agree?

Katy Perry is Instaglam in Versace

Katy Perry has been no stranger to Versace ensembles, favouring a few of the Spring 2018 tribute looks recently on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ and ‘American Idol.’

I have loved seeing the ‘American Idol’ judge and entertainer really command the looks from top to toe, as she has the particular brand of glam spunk and spirit that suits the label so well.

That was evident yet again in this Versace Pre-Fall 2018 Instaglam moment seen on set of ‘American Idol’.

I had no problem hopping fully aboard that hot-pink scooter with this pretty-in-pink dress and matching tights.

I loved the bold shoulder that reinforced the strong yet soft silhouette that Katy took to the next level with her glitzy earrings and bold makeup cues.
