Front Row @ Versace Spring 2019

Front Row @ Versace Spring 2019

As you would expect, the front row at Versace was a jam-packed affair for the Spring 2019 show hosted during Milan Fashion Week on Friday (September 22).

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: Now this is how you rock a menswear suit. Marlene Dietrich would be proud of the flawless execution of this menswear look that was cast in a coral pink shade and styled with nothing but satin sandals.

Luke Evans: Rocking Versace from head-to-toe, this look, which features the printed silk, black and gold Barocco shirt, couldn’t be more iconic if he tried.

Leona Lewis: I wouldn’t have had Leona down as Versace girl, but the British singer looked beautiful in her Fall 2018 collection slip dress with bold plaid accent panel which was a signature of said collection.

Nicki Minaj: We have seen many versions of this Versace Fall 2018 look via Caroline Wozniaki, JLo and Sammi Sau-man, but I’m not ready to press the snooze button yet – if ever. Some might not like Nicki’s accessorizing of this look which included a plaid hat and green rubber gloves, but the rapper was never going to tone this look down.

Rita Ora: Speaking of being bold, Rita did much the same in her plaid fringe Versace Fall 2018 beaded dress with a dramatic hood. Some might have wished this was saved for Grace Jones, but Rita makes it work.

Sabrina Carpenter: Opting not to joined the ‘plaid gang,’ the actress was channeling her inner girl guide in her brown Versace look from the Resort 2019 collection.

Chiara Ferragni: The newlywed was looking stylish in a Versace Fall 2018 tartan look which she toughened up with lace up lug boots, while her husband Fedez was wearing a fresh from the Spring 2019 men’s runway python printed look with Versace sneakers.

Rosie, Yes! I may even put it on my BDOTY worthy list.

The first look (Rosie) is great but compared to everyone else she looks like she was going to a different and much classier event. Luke’s look is okay, a little gigolo-ish but still okay. After those two, the drop-off begins. Leona’s look is mediocre. Nikki’s top is too small and those gloves, why. And by the time you get to Fedez, we have reached full on looking absolutely ridiculous.

Rosie and Luke are BDOTW worthy.

Rosie’s is a BDOTW look. She’s KILLING IT. The rest except for Luke are a mess.

Love Rosie’s look, so sexy and cool. I really liked Blake’s Versace neon green suit but I didn’t like the addition of jewellery and heavy make up. I love Versace Baroco prints and he’s handsome but Luke looks like a stereotypical sleazy Italian guy here. I really enjoyed AW18 Versace show but the rest of the guests look a bit too try hard in the full runway looks.
