Patricia Clarkson In Gabriela Hearst - The New York Philharmonic's Opening Gala: New York, Meet Jaap.

Patricia Clarkson attended the New York Philharmonic’s Opening Gala: New York, Meet Jaap on Thursday (September 20) in New York City.

I wanted to say she kept things simple in her Gabriela Hearst Fall 2017 one shoulder pleated dress, but the accessories really kicked things into high gear.

If I was to change two things, I would’ve opted for red Malone Souliers ‘Maureen’ pumps instead of green, and a chainmail clutch instead of a bag.

I like the green. With red you won’t see them with the carpet

    Hate the styling.

I agree completely with your comments about the shoes and bag. This look could have been exceptional with better accessory choices but it is still okay because of the dress. I am not a fan of Gabriel Hearst but I like this particular dress — not as boring as her usual designs.

I love this dress. I don’t find her designs ever very boring…unless you think chic is boring?

Well no . . . I don’t think chic is boring. I think Gabriela Hearst designs are usually boring. We have a difference of opinion. It happens.

I agree with the changes but I like this as is.
