2018 MTV VMAs Red Carpet Roundup

2018 MTV VMAs Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more stars rocking all sorts of looks at the 2018 MTV VMAs on Monday (August 20) in New York City.

Grace VanderWaal: This Elkin dress and Eugenia Kim beret look is a precise hybrid of what happens when French schoolgirl meets disco ball.

King Princess: The Canadian tuxedo takes on jumpsuit proportions in this belted-up Adam Selman Fall 2018 design. The literal garter “belt” is one thing, but it’s the black orthopedic shoes that kinda killed it for me.

Kim Petras: The Moschino retro kitsch factor was coming in hot here with this zebra, one-sleeve/glove look, styled with tights and mega spiked Victoria Hayes hoops, that would have placed Kim at a costume party instead of the VMAs had we not known better.

Nicky Hilton in Valentino

Amara La Negra: With such fabulous hair, Amara really could have worn a paper bag and made quite the impression. This vivid-green Valentino Omar gown and cape did the trick though, too.

Nicky Hilton: There was an inherent cutesiness tied up in this Valentino off-the-shoulder frock that balanced precious charm and stylish chicness. However, I would have lost the cuff and embellished clutch.

Sabrina Carpenter: Relying on the standard sexiness of a Versace slit-to-there gown, Sabrina defied her youthful 19 years of age to focus more on all-grown-up sultriness.

Ashanti: Her hair and makeup looked beautiful, but with this décolletage and double-slit sexy-Renaissance-esque gown by Elie Madi, the focal point transitioned to below the neck. I do question if the slits had to be that high. Giuseppe Zanotti sandals completed the look.

Madison Beer: The bold shoulders continued strong with this Raisa & Vanessa ensemble that put an ’80s vibe into silk pajama dressing.

Teyana Taylor: Good thing Teyana came wearing her smoldering workout clothes, so she could perfect her six-pack after the show. But, seriously, can we talk about those washboard abs.
