Beyonce Knowles Rocks Dundas, Gucci, Givenchy, Balmain & More For Her ‘On The Run II’ Tour

The ‘On the Run II Tour’ opened in Cardiff, Wales last week, where we were treated to another selection of eye-popping custom looks from Beyonce Knowles, who has enlisted the help of Claire Waight Keller for Givenchy, Gucci, Peter Dundas, Mugler, LaQuan Smith and Olivier Rousteing for Balmain.

In Glasgow she lit up the stage wearing a Dundas. While gold embroidered icon mini dress with front scarlet heart motif was very much expected, the purple silk gazar cape with gold alphabet embroidery gave this look a regal aura. The look was styled with the very popular Roberi & Fraud ‘Doris’ shades.

I love this Bonnie and Clyde moment which sees Beyonce wearing a custom LaQuan Smith crystal mesh blazer and bodysuit, while Jay-Z look so cool in his white Givenchy suit. I do wonder what it would’ve been like for Beyonce to perform in a hot stadium with those PVC boot though.

Beyonce had her own Givenchy moment. Clare Waight Keller created a bodysuit with an oversized bow detail adapted from the Fall 2018 collection, paired with a long, detachable skirt in bonded lace, hand-embroidered with crystals. As I’m so used to the bodysuit look from Bey, I love the romance of the look with the skirt.

Yep, there were more bodysuits to be had. This custom Mugler patent leather corset and bodysuit combo styled with suspender-style boots and a matching hat had more than a hint of dominatrix about it.

Logomania was in full-effect when Beyonce hit the stage wearing a custom Dapper Dan-Gucci camel GG hooded jacket and over-the-knee boots. The unexpected portion of this look is the Gucci crystal and aged metal harness and head piece, but they made for quite a dramatic twist.

Olivier Rousteing, who created Beyonce’s Coachella customs, created this mosaic tiled piece with matching boots.  I really admire how Beyonce is able to perform in the energetic way she does wearing these pieces.  This one looks particularly delicate.  I can image her booty popping those tiles right off her skirt after one hip shake.

Bey was the queen of the jungle in the leopard print print bodysuit and Tom Ford Fall 2018 jacket combo which was perhaps one of the more risque looks from her tour so far.

No doubt more looks will be added to this ‘OTR II’ tour that is scheduled to play 48 dates in Europe and North America through October 4th, 2018.

Anybody else think the Dundas look with the cape with papal-ish shoulders may be what she had planned to wear to the Met Gala? Remember that story about how she had a custom look ready to go for the Met Gala, but Jay surprised her with a vacation at the last minute so they didn’t go to the gala? I could totally see the Dundas look on this year’s Met Gala carpet.

I thought of the Gala immediately when I saw that look, but didn’t know about that story! Sounds cool! Totally works as a performance piece too

I like the black Givenchy skirt as it has a period piece element. Everything else is more of the same.

I don’t think you can ever fairly judge stage costumes on a fashion scale, but I personally love these. Yes it is her signature style that we have seen before, but If I am going to a Beyonce show this is what I want and expect to see. Pretty much no one was wearing bodysuits to perform in when she started years ago, now everybody does it (and not well) so I think that factors into the feeling the look as being too ‘done’.

It does seem very deja vu. I must of seen alot of these looks on her already…
She needs to do something new to her hair also.

While i can understand the obvious practicality of wearing bodysuits, i would love to see her more in shorts, pants or dresses.

They work well for stage aside from the Gucci- logomania overload.

How come her hair changes with each wardrobe change? It starts with loose curls, than very tight and defined ones, than loose again…

      Lace fronts or detachable weaves.

Not all of the pictures are from the same concert! Some are from Cardiff and other ones from Glasgow, so I guess that’s it!

That last look might be Tom Ford. The jacket looks like some of his Fall 2018 pieces.

I think you are definitely right. Thank you.

I feel like I’ve seen all these before on her. That Gucci outfit is hideous though!

No to all of them. I could save the look with the cape but the rest of the looks are been there done that

Love.That. Purple. In fact that look is my fave, a welcome change from body suits. The cape is OTT of course and perfect for the occasion.

It too soon for another tour, should have put out another album out first. The stage looks work but the double Gucci feels too much logomania.
