2017 CMA Awards Red Carpet Roundup
The 2017 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 8) in Nashville, Tennessee were a glorious mix of colour, shine and eye-catching details.
Cam: Opting for back, the singer went for understated elegance in Tadashi Shoji. The rich velvet fabric was contrasted with sultry lace panels and cream trim. A different neckline might have worked more in her favor as this could read a bit too maturely for some.
Kellie Pickler: The singer and television personality struck a pose in an exuberant Pamella Roland Fall 2017 dress. Festooned with black and gold-green feathers, it presented a darker mood, but still had a flirty finish.
Kimberly Schlapman: The ‘Little Big Town’ singer’s signature blonde curls were juxtaposed with a sleek navy column dress. The mirrored clutch and belt enlivened the gown, but the gold choker didn’t have as much impact.
Danielle Bradbery: Clad in Leanne Marshall, ‘The Voice’ winner looked radiant in red. The satin bodice had a striking teardrop shape which was framed with the double straps. A thigh-high slit balanced the flowing skirt and allowed her to show off her toned pins.
JoAnna Garcia: There was nothing bridal about the actress’s white dress. It had joyful movement courtesy of the swirling silver pattern and the wrap silhouette. A Kate Spade New York clutch and sandals complemented the ankle-length frock.
Karen Fairchild: The ‘Little Big Town’ member captivated in a dark Andrew Gn Fall 2017 gown. The teal and black animal pattern was played up with the leopard clutch. I appreciate the animal theme, but would have preferred a sleek black bag so the focus would remain on the frock’s full sleeves.
Madison Marlow: The young country singer made quite the impact in an Anne Barge Black Label gown. The vivid red hue was complemented with gold accessories. The way the jewellery and shoes echoed the strappy details of the neckline was most effective.
Taylor Dye: The other half of Maddie & Tae went for exuberant glamour in a Francesca Miranda gown. The slip silhouette was dressed up with ruffles, lace and embellishment for a head-turning finish. I can see how she wanted to enhance the beading with the earrings, but the shoulder-grazing danglers overshadowed the gown.
