Aubrey Plaza & Elizabeth Olsen In Marc Jacobs – ‘Ingrid Goes West’ LA Premiere

If you believe that Hollywood stylists Jessica Paster and Sarah Slutsky had made a major fashion faux pas by dressing their clients Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen in the same Marc Jacobs dress for last night’s film premiere of ‘Ingrid Goes West’, you need to see the trailer.

This was a classic case of life imitating art, as the dark comedy is about an unhinged social media stalker (Aubrey) moving to LA and insinuates herself into the life of an Instagram star (Elizabeth Olsen).

Not only do they wear the same dress, but they also wore the same Anita Ko jewels and Sophia Webster ‘Coco’ pumps.

I love how the bold embroidery keeps the look youthful and fun, and how Aubrey hairstyle plays up to the retro vibe of the piece.

It was Aubrey who came up with the idea of this double-take look, so kudos for all parties for playing along and giving us a fun fashion moment.

Hahaha this is so good because of the theme of the movie. Genius marketing. They both look nice

Thats a mega cute idea. Im loving it just for that….who looks better? idk. Havent decided yet. May need to watch the movie!

LOL I love the homage to the movie’s plot. I prefer Elizabeth’s look, though. It’s more coherent and more suited to her style. Aubrey looks a bit forced. (Or maybe that’s the point, since her character stalks and copies Elizabeth’s?)

I love that they did this! I suspected it was Aubrey’s idea.

Both ladies look beautiful in the dress and have perfect makeup and hairstyles, but Aubrey is my favourite. I prefer the gold embroidery and her hairstyle.

Love that they’re having fun with fashion! It’s a stunning dress and they both look great but I slightly prefer Aubrey’s because I like the gold detail better than the silver.

I always think that Hollywood is full of too many egos so I love that they did this.

Both look great, but Aubrey shades this. This dress is very much her style
