InStyle And Warner Bros. Golden Globes After Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features InStyle And Warner Bros. Golden Globes After Party

The InStyle and Warner Bros. 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards Post-Party on Sunday (January 6) in Beverly Hills, California, was the most attended party last night, so strap in for the 41 looks.

Rowan Blanchard: There are many of you who haven’t been able to get on board with Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2019 ruffles. This crinkle organza multi layer dress was a tall order for the petite star, but with her new pixie hair, Buccellati jewels and confident attitude, she pulls this off for me, even though I’m not fan of her Roger Vivier sandals.

Kiki Layne: The ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ actress swapped her Dior for Valentino, wearing sparkling tiered whimsy dress from the Spring 2019 collection. This is another dress which may see you divided, but I think she carries if off with great aplomb.

Rita Ora In Marc Jacobs – Live with Kelly & Ryan

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon Features Rita Ora In Marc Jacobs - Live with Kelly & Ryan

Rita Ora made a guest appearance on the ‘Live with Kelly & Ryan’ show this morning (December 17) in New York City, where she promoted her new album, ‘Phoenix.’

Fans of Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2019 collection will be excited to see another look so soon after Zendaya’s outing last week.

I know some might be thinking, “this ruffled dress with a mini train is a bit OTT for a morning show.”

But when has Rita ever played it safe?

I love how this look suits Rita’s vibrant personality. Marc Jacobs voluminous ruffles aren’t that easy to pull off, but Rita carries herself very well here.

Unlike Diane Kruger, the singer did opt for tights from Wolford, with Aquazzura pumps and a pretty pink lip completing her look.

Zendaya Coleman In Marc Jacobs – Áme Jewelry Launch Event

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature Zendaya Coleman In Marc Jacobs - Áme Jewelry Launch Event

Between Tracee Ellis Ross, Laura Harrier and Tessa Thompson, some of you have OD’d on Marc Jacobs Spring 2019 ruffles, so along comes Zendaya Coleman to buck the trend.

AND what better place to do that, than the launch of the innovative new jewelry brand, Âme, on Thursday (December 13) in LA, ahead of its flagship opening.

I already know the comments are going to be full of Big Bird comparisons, but I strongly feel that this is a chic and fun look, and I can’t think of a better person to bring this look alive on the red carpet.

I love how Marc Jacobs has used luxuriously tactile ostrich feathers in egg-yoke yellow and pink to create this attention-grabbing silhouette.

As for accessories – well, they couldn’t be more better co-ordinated with the peach Marc Jacobs bag and pink Louboutins, with the hosts jewels rounding out the look.

Is this a late contender for your BDOTY list?

I’m considering re-gigging my list.

Vanessa Hudgens In Marc Jacobs – ‘Second Act’ New York Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature Vanessa Hudgens In Marc Jacobs - ‘Second Act’ New York Premiere

Vanessa Hudgens joined her co-star Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet for the world premiere of their latest film ‘Second Act’ on Wednesday (December 12) in New York City.

There wasn’t a lot of love for Tessa Thompson’s Marc Jacobs ruffles from last week, but I feel Vanessa’s Spring 2019 mini will go down more favourably.

From the peachy hue, frothy ruffles to the delicate rose detail, there’s nothing I don’t love about this dress.

Perfectly styled with rose-gold sandals. The look was impactful without being overwhelming.

Tessa Thompson In Marc Jacobs – 9th Annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the Tessa Thompson In Marc Jacobs - 9th Annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale

The 9th Annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale was hosted by Tessa Thompson on Thursday (December 6) in Miami Beach, Florida, which was attended by Laura Harrier.

As you know I love the Marc Jacobs Spring 2019 collection, and I love Tessa’s style even more, but this organza ruffle top and shiny sequin dressy trousers combo didn’t deliver in the way I wanted to.

I’m going to blame the camera angle for the reason Tessa’s profile is unrecognisable here, and the fact that I think anyone would struggle under that many ruffles.

Malone Souliers ‘Maureen’ pumps in a golden yellow hue completed her look.
