June 13, 2017 Runway To Red Carpet

Doutzen Kroes In Azzedine Alaïa – Save The Elephants Dinner

Doutzen Kroes co-hosted the Save the Elephants dinner on Monday (June 12) in London, where Ruth Wilson and Cara Delevingne were also in attendance.

Her Azzedine Alaïa Spring 2017 gown could be said to be quite solemn, but she wore it with such sleek, streamlined precision that there was beauty in its subtlety.

Showing that the night’s focus was not on the fashion but on the animal kingdom’s gentle giants, she finished the dress with a Tiffany & Co. elephant brooch which took centre stage in her look.

Hum. It looks really severe and simple, but I suspect this would’ve been a stunner in person. So much is lost in photographs in these plain-coloured outfits. I would love to see it in person and in motion.
The brooch is an inspired choice, I love it.

Doutzen is beautiful but the dress is just whatever to me. I won’t remember it in two days.

Mesmerizing in its severe simplicity, she is selling it with her model stature and presence.
