Amy Adams In Max Mara – 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Amy Adams In Max Mara - 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Amy Adams attended the 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday (January 15) in Los Angeles, California.

The face of Max Mara wore a custom piece from the Italian brand, donning a semi-matte ivory silk duchesse bustier dress, which she styled with sparkling Kurt Geiger London ‘Beverly’ sandals.

When it comes to awards season you can always rely on Amy, but unfortunately this look falls flat – way too flat.

For a custom piece the fit is surprisingly off and the black panel feels like a last ditch attempt to try to make this piece interesting – it failed.

The styling is bringing me out in hives and the hair feels juvenile.

We all have our off days, but it’s painful when it happens to one of the best.

Sadly, nothing works here. The colour is washing her out a bit, the lip colour is too harsh, the hairstyle is silly and I don’t like the shoes. I hope her next look will be better again.

The pony tail is way to prim and proper. But I like the shoes. The color is nice and the fit is off. As with most of her looks, it goods the job done but leave me feeling…mehh.

    Forgettable look

This colour is terrible on her. Even a red lip doesn’t go and I can’t say I love the ponytail on her, its too high and too tight

This is custom? *shakes head* I’m pretending I didn’t see it.

Disappointing. I’m baffled by the black hair tie (really??), and the dress is forgettable.

Fresh and pretty but very forgetable.

Has she changed her stylist ? She used to be so elegant and fresh but recently she has made some very poor choices.

Yes, I just discovered that she is now styled by Petra Flannery, who ironically works with Emma Stone.

Her poor feet, ouch! I like the colour and texture of the dress and otherwise find hard to comment about anything interesting.

Amy’s been having a bad 6 months. I can’t remember the last time I have loved something she has worn as a whole.

So far I’m the only one who likes it. I agree that the hair is quite disappointing but I think she looks good.

Bland colour, cheap-looking fabric, very plain design….this is bad, one of her worst looks ever.

Not liking this. She usually looks great, but this was a miss.

Looks like a bridesmaid dress or a prom one- not a red carpet one

The dress is incredibly blah, but the hair is what really makes it terrible for me. The high ponytail makes her look like a cheerleader.

The colour of the dress is awful. Everything is a fail.

  18. Alina January 16, 2015 at 2:02 pm #

    Bad. The hairstyle is… silly.
