Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior Couture - 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Marion Cotillard was breathtaking on the red carpet for the 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday (January 15) in Los Angeles, California.

Dressed in Dior Couture, of course, she was an absolute vision in white, wearing a jacquard silk Fall 2014 Couture gown fitted through the waist before flaring out into a voluminous skirt.

I’m sure comparison will be made to Jennifer Lawrence’s 2013 Oscar gown as they possess the same silhouette and fabrication, but I love the edge Marion gave to this look with her fuchsia lip and slicked-back hair with Chopard jewels rounding out her look.

Was this too similar to Jennifer’s gown for you?

    The dress feels really her.

Too similar, too bridal, too much.

Firstly, I don’t get why people are knocking this look because it looks “similar” to two other dresses from the EXACT SAME COLLECTION??

    Secondly, hair bad.

Thirdly, she is way to over dressed for this event.

Fourthly, I am so excited she got the Oscar nomination of Jennifer Aniston or her beautiful work in Two Days, One Night.

I like it even if it’s déjà vu

  5. Bailey January 16, 2015 at 7:46 pm #

Outrageously large! Too much volume and pillow-like effect for me to take it seriously.

looks like a giant bedsheet. awful.

It’s more reminiscent of Jennifer’s Dior dress at the LA Mockingjay premiere, which I liked infinitely better.

It is just too bride-ish for me to like it

I’m all for big ball gowns but this one is no good. The fabric looks like a blanket, the wrinkles make me cringe and the styling is dreadful. The fuchsia lip works but that hair and nails? What was she thinking?

the construction of the dress looks cheap to me…. if this were couture… i think i could settle for high street

    J. Lawrence’s Oscar gown’s structure is a million times more beautiful.

Agreed. Jennifer made history in her dress. She was breathtaking wearing it. I find this dress irritating, starting with its baroque structure to being completely wrinkled (or is it just me?). Also getting tired of the actress wearing the same designer over and over again? Is she contractually obligated to do so?

Love everything about it! Can’t wait to see her at the Oscars!

The overall look in combination with the hair also reminded me of Felicity instantly, and we’ve just seen this silhouette (shorter version) on JLaw (Hunger Games LA premiere) and I believe a few others, it’s getting too deja vu. Overall, this looks like an odd bridal gown and feels a bit ott.

I love it¡ and I can’t wait for her Oscar dress.

  15. Rachelle January 16, 2015 at 3:01 pm #

I was reminded of Felicity Jones’ Dior Couture dress for the Theory of Everything London premiere before J. Law’s dress. Oops!

+1. I also thought of Felicity Jones. The gowns are from the same collection, plus she sported the same hairstyle.

  16. Alina January 16, 2015 at 3:01 pm #

Hate the hairstyle and besides the fact that the dress does not wow me, it is also way too much for this event.

  17. Noemi January 16, 2015 at 3:01 pm #

I’m distracted by the awful hairstyle. I’m not crazy about the dress, too, I feel like I’ve already seen it so many times, so a good styling would have made it more interesting.

Gorgeous. I like the it for a wedding dress

  19. martina January 16, 2015 at 2:47 pm #

Back To her Best. I absolutly love it

  20. Angela January 16, 2015 at 2:45 pm #

I love it – this is actually a Dior that suits her

  21. Sanya January 16, 2015 at 2:41 pm #

Sadly, I have to admit that she no longer is a fashion queen. Too, too many disappointing looks in the last three years. Hope so much she will not wear Dior at the Oscars.

  22. Hermoine January 16, 2015 at 2:32 pm #

Too similar to the other dress and just too blah
