Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel – Deauville Film Festival Premieres & Closing Ceremony

If you were checking in this weekend, you’ll know that both Venice and Deauville Film Festival came to a close.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey, one of the Chanel ambassadors, attended both the ‘Killing Season’ premiere and the ‘Snowpierce’ premiere which closed the Deauville Film Festival.

‘Killing Season’ premiere: On Friday, she kept it very casual and laidback wearing a Chanel Fall 2013 look featuring a black tweed skirt with a fine-knit sweater, with Chanel grey-and-black pumps completing her look. Even though I respect her decision not to go all out as it wasn’t her premiere, this effort falls well below par for my liking.

‘Snowpierce’ premiere: Which is why I am delighted she had a second chance to make an impression at the ‘Snowpierce’ premiere, where she donned an enchanting Chanel Pre-Fall 2013 off-white wool-lace gown, which is a perfect look for the transitional season. Usually her purposely messy tresses bother me, but they add a lot of character to the look on this occasion.

What is to be appreciated here is how each look has been stripped back and made more wearable from the runway version.
