Rachel Weisz In Louis Vuitton – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Posted by Rachel Watkins

Rachel Weisz In Louis Vuitton - 2013 Golden Globe AwardsBest Actress nominee Rachel Weisz was escorted at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards by her handsome James Bond husband, Daniel Craig. But ‘The Deep Blue Sea’ star made quite the impression herself.

She donned another example that played to the sheer and solid trend with her interesting Louis Vuitton number.

The polka dot mesh, which reminded me of the designer’s earlier collaboration with dot artist Yayoi Kusama, emerged under a short, strapless LBD.

While the look tried to be playful, it didn’t feel fresh or exciting. The sheer netting of the leg-baring skirt pooled on the ground and looked even messy in some moments.

Jimmy Choo’s ‘Raven’ sandals and a Jimmy Choo ‘Candy’ clutch, both in black, completed the ensemble.

Rachel’s voluminous waves and sophisticated makeup were nice.

Rather unusually, she went earring-less for the evening, choosing instead a Bulgari statement cuff.

I really like this look except for the hem being far too long. I think the sheer with polka dots is gorgeous, as is Rachel’s styling!

Not a good look at all.

Cheap amateurish-looking uninspiring design, “how to make a gown out of LBD at the last minute”, the polka dot mesh looks ridiculous. Big thumbs down from me.

When I first saw her from the waist up, I thought “Oh no, 50’s prom”, then I saw the bottom and thought,”please, take me back to the prom.” What happened? It doesn’t even fit, it just pools at the bottom of her feet.

i want to lick it, but i cant from the waist up its great especially the hair and make-up but the bottom half of the dress is terrible.

The hair and makeup are gorgeous, but the dress is too long and too casual for the event. I think something this playful should be reserved for someone younger, like Haile Steinfeld for an event of this caliber.

I’m really dying to see her shoes! I think they are lovely! Anyone know what’s her shoes?

I am so horrified by this look! If it had been a flowing black skirt with tulle overlay, it probably would have been my favorite. But this tacky, cheap sheer skirt is awkward and unflattering.

I was very disappointed in this. Her hair and makeup (and husband) are divine.

Aside from the slightly too long skirt, I really liked this look. definitely in my top 5 for the night.

Beautiful from the waist up. I don’t like the sheer bottom or the pooling.

I give her credit for the best Plus 1, though. Are you going to feature the guys, FC?

+1 I thought I was going to love this look but then I saw the skirt. And try as I have I just can’t. Gorgeous hair and makeup, and she looks beautiful despite the shortcomings of the dress.

I wouldn’t have worn that cuff with the dress though. I think she should have skipped that as she did earrings. Regarding the lack of earrings, I’m presuming she felt that accessorizing with James Bond was enough.

The sheer skirt is too long, but somehow, I do like this. Her hair is beautiful.
