Stacy Keibler In Michael Kors – Amber Lounge Fashion Monaco 2013

Stacy Keibler In Michael Kors - Amber Lounge Fashion Monaco 2013

On Friday Stacy Keibler attended the Amber Lounge Fashion Monaco 2013 at Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel Monte Carlo in Monaco.

The actress looked uber glam wearing a Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2013 look which consisted of a black knit short-sleeved turtleneck top with a rose-print ball skirt.

Looking poised and statuesque, I’m delighted that Stacy kept the styling simple, adding just a dual-colour clutch to her look.

Beauty-wise, her hair was pulled back into a centre-parted bun, with a fuchsia lip colour to complement the rose hue on her skirt completing her look.

She’s on a roll.

Better on her than on the model. I like the skirt, contrasted with the top–however the turtleneck would have been better as a boatneck. I would have liked a softer hairstyle too. The clutch is nice, though, and overall it’s a good look.

Gosh, this is such u blatant copy of Dior by Raf Simons. Two thumbs down. Big time.

  3. Shootz May 30, 2013 at 12:41 #

The look has the silhouette of the Dior gowns we’ve seen recently, but the print on the skirt reminds me more of Ulyana Sergeenko which makes it sweet looking compared to the elegance Dior gowns possess.
While I think the sweetness totally suits Stacey as her big smile echoes the dress, I really dislike the hair or the clutch. Also, I don’t appreciate the fact that Michael kors shamelessly took inspirations from his peers’ work in such a literal way.

I am definitely understanding the Dior references, the silhouette is very similar. I think we are seeing Stacy really step outside her style box and I she is looking great. I particularly like her choice of clutch here.

She looks very beautiful whatever the designer’s inspiration for this look. The top is perfect for the full skirt. I love the print. Perfect styling.

Ripoff or not this looks much better than most of those Dior dresses. The length and the fabric are much better. Stacey looks really elegant, effortless, great makeup and hair!

  7. Nat39 May 29, 2013 at 19:22 #

Can’t help but love it. Stacy is wearing it so well.

So do I!!! I really don’t care if this is a ripoff when she looks so gorgeou! On the contrary of many thoughts above, the hair totally compliments the proportions of the look. It is so well balanced and harmonic. If still not clear, BDOTW contender for sure!

+1. much much better than those who have worn this type of design from Dior before.

I’m not crazy about the skirt print — I don’t dislike it that much but don’t like it much either.

That being said, I do like her simple styling and think she looks good.

  9. Kathy May 29, 2013 at 18:29 #

The hair is too severe, and the dress is a complete ripoff. Could Michael Kors be any more obvious? Copying a design from a season ago? Even the minimalist eye makeup and red lip in the lookbook are reminiscient of Dior.

    She looks stunning!

    Wow! Flawless

I always thought Michael Kors was a talentless copy cat and this look proves it.

  13. Prudence May 29, 2013 at 15:58 #

wow! now this is something unpredictable from her, she looks so elegant ! And I prefer this to the dior ones.

  14. mel May 29, 2013 at 15:39 #

    Um, Michael? Raf Simons called.

  15. Fer May 29, 2013 at 15:32 #

I can’t believe the ripoff. Really. Dior much?

  16. Joy May 29, 2013 at 15:20 #

She has looked so good lately. You know, when you don’t have a man picking out your outfit you wear what you want to wear. Then your generally happier and it shows all over your face, and how you sell what it is you are wearing.

I’m thinking Dior isn’t too happy right about now. You know what they say about copying & flattery?

  17. Atisj May 29, 2013 at 15:11 #

shame of the gown, but Stacy looks really good!

Oh relax. Dior has not trademarked ball gown skirts and minimalist tops, honey. This design was hardly revolutionary in the first place. And we all know Dior is capable of much most craptastic flare than this harmless dress. And Michael Kors has had similar prints like this for a while now (Jessica Simpson’s Met gown from a million years ago anyone?)

It’s pretty on Kiebler. Kudos to her for trying a new look.

      • Kathy May 31, 2013 at 18:31 #

Regardless, to put out a design so similar to looks from Dior’s most recent Spring ready-to-wear collection is just disrespectful. Let’s keep in mind that this is PRE-FALL 2013. I’m not justifying copying ever, but to do it so soon is even worse.

      • Prudence May 31, 2013 at 22:59 #

very well said. people need to lay off with all these accusation of copying.

  20. Yeliz May 29, 2013 at 13:44 #

Love it. She carries the big ball skirt with such an ease and her simple, sleek styling works perfectly with the look. BDOTW worthy in my eyes.

  21. mg May 29, 2013 at 13:43 #

    Michael inspired by Dior?

    • Christine May 29, 2013 at 14:40 #

My thoughts exactly. LOL. She looks good. She is on a roll.

    I think it fine <3

  23. Charlotte May 29, 2013 at 13:37 #

I don’t like this at all. First, it’s not season appropriate. And secondly, it looks like some of Dior looks we have seen too much, the print on the skirt is too twee.

    • AnderBoBo May 29, 2013 at 13:50 #

Yes this is totally a shameless Dior redux.

    • dee May 29, 2013 at 14:06 #

+1. I was gonna say the same thing. This looks like a Dior knockoff. Plus the hair is wrong not good.

  24. Rashmi May 29, 2013 at 13:36 #

    Delightful !

  25. kane May 29, 2013 at 13:34 #

Usually the hair would be a no for me, but the dress calls for something subdued. Works better than the opposite strategy to go all bang in the styling of this dress. Well done.
