Teyana Taylor’s Schiaparelli Haute Couture Look Is All About The Details
Teyana Taylor attended the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, delivering another of her signature fashion moments.
We all know how much Teyana loves a breastplate, so I wasn’t surprised to see the actress wearing a Schiaparelli Fall 2026 Haute Couture bustier dress from the same collection that Law Roach pulled straight off the runway for Zendaya.
This version, with its glazed pale-blue silicone bodice and floral-embellished skirt, would have worked so much better for me had the nude underlayer not been so visible. As a professional nit-picker, I simply can’t unsee it.
As the runway image shows, the underlayer is far less noticeable when it closely matches the wearer’s skin tone. On Teyana, the contrast is more pronounced.
Does she still look good? Absolutely. Were those nude pointed-toe Christian Louboutin Izria pumps the right choice to complement the skirt’s gradient effect? Yes. Was her blue-toned eye makeup an inspired choice? Also yes.
But as much as I love the overall look, that visible underlayer is the one detail preventing me from loving it completely.
