I have a feeling some people won’t love SofÃa Vergara in this Elie Saab Spring 2025 Haute Couture champagne mermaid gown, perhaps arguing that it feels a little dated, but I adore it.
The craftsmanship is exquisite, particularly the purple floral appliqués and green vine embroidery that wind their way across the gown. There’s something wonderfully romantic about the way the flowers appear to grow from the fabric. It’s a beautiful dress in full bloom, and if anyone was going to make it work, it was SofÃa. The figure-hugging silhouette is familiar territory for her.
Silver Lining
Kerry Washington wore an Elie Saab Fall 2026 silvery-grey embellished gown, which offered a different kind of glamour. The peplum gives the gown a vintage flavour, while the silver embroidery and sequins ensure there’s no shortage of sparkle. Her glittering Tyler Ellis clutch and Boucheron jewellery complemented the look.
Golden Hour
Gabrielle Union wore an Elie Saab Spring 2026 Haute Couture gown in a warm champagne-gold shade that looks gorgeous against her complexion.
If you felt Kerry’s look had too much going on with the velvet bows, there’s nothing competing with the embellishment here. Tiffany & Co. jewellery provided the finishing touch.
