Jessica Biel and Jessica Alba wore Tamara Ralph Couture to the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles. Both opted for black, but their interpretations of red carpet glamour couldn’t have been more different.

Feathered Fantasy

I love how the feathered cape transforms Jessica Biel’s Tamara Ralph Fall 2026 Couture black velvet gown from something relatively straightforward into a look worthy of the occasion.

This is the kind of old Hollywood glamour I want to see at the Academy Museum Gala, and Jessica wears it beautifully. However, those black pumps really baffle me. A delicate sandal would have been so much better.

Ruffled Romance

Jessica Alba wore a custom Tamara Ralph Couture gown that took a softer, more romantic approach.

This could easily have flown under the radar had it not been for those delicate tulle ruffles framing the neckline and continuing into a sweeping train. They give the otherwise simple black silhouette a beautiful finish.

Between the two Jessicas, Biel delivered the drama, while Alba reminded us that a black gown doesn’t need elaborate embellishment to make an impression.
