Kerry Washington Continues Her ‘Animals’ Style Run in Lanvin

Kerry Washington attended the special event for Netflix’s Animals, held at Salazar in Mexico City, giving us a second look from her time in the city.

This Lanvin Pre-Fall 2026 gown isn’t as bold as her first look, but that doesn’t mean I like it any less. In fact, I love how the openwork fabric, structured bodice and velvet shoulder ties give Kerry something more interesting to work with than a standard black gown. There is enough detail to hold my attention without any one element taking over.

The main talking point for me is the sheerness. When I first saw the pictures, I genuinely thought the gown was lined. However, between Kerry’s skin tone and the dark backdrop, the transparency is far less apparent than it is on the model, particularly through the skirt.

Kerry styled the look with a black panther Judith Leiber clutch, which was a fun addition.
