Kerry Washington’s Cobalt Couture For ‘Animals’
Kerry Washington attended the Animals fan event at Centro Comercial Mítikah in Mexico City on Sunday.

I didn’t love her LA premiere look, but one look at Kerry in this Georges Chakra Fall/Winter 2026/2027 Haute Couture dress and I screamed.
This is the Kerry I know and love. I am probably one of her toughest critics because I know she can serve up a breathtaking fashion moment like this.

I mean, where do you start with this halterneck dress? It has to be the cobalt-blue feather appliqués. The colour alone is impossible to ignore, but it’s the placement and volume of the feathers that make the upper half of the dress so striking. Against the black tulle, they have even greater impact.

They are so arresting that you probably don’t immediately register that the skirt is sheer, or that the pleated tulle extends into a train. And perhaps that is why the transparency doesn’t dominate the conversation here. My eye goes straight to that incredible burst of cobalt.

Would I want the whole dress to be cobalt? Or entirely covered in cobalt feathers? No. The colour is so bright that breaking it up with black is actually what keeps this feeling fresh. An all-blue version would have worked on someone like Jodie Turner-Smith, but I like the balance here for Kerry. The black gives the cobalt room to make an impact, while the sheer skirt prevents the look from becoming too heavy.
