Kaia Gerber Switches Up Her Style for the Emmys After-Party

Kaia Gerber was joined by her The Shards co-star Igby Rigney at The Walt Disney Company 78th Emmy Awards Party, held at Vibiana on Monday.

From Kaia, we have come to expect a fitted black dress, so I was happy to see her take a completely different direction for the Emmys after-party.

The model and actress wore an Alaïa wool curved skirt with a matching bra from the Summer Fall 2026 Archetypes collection. It is a daring look, but this was an Emmys after-party, so the setting gave her room to take a few more risks. I love the sculpted shape of the skirt on Kaia, especially paired with the simplicity of the bra top. There is also something refreshing about seeing her in a look we don’t immediately associate with her.

How are you feeling about this change of pace from Kaia?

My only issue is the black Gianvito Rossi Sofia mules. I would have loved a silver strappy sandal here, which would have felt lighter with the cream Alaïa set. The black mules weigh down an otherwise successful look.
