Joely Richardson Goes for Gold at ‘The Gentlemen’ Premiere

Joely Richardson attended the London world premiere of The Gentlemen Season Two, held at Guildhall on Wednesday evening.

The actress loves a dramatic, sweeping silhouette, usually courtesy of Roksanda, but on this occasion she opted for a gold Taller Marmo Deserto kaftan.

In the series, Joely Richardson plays Lady Sabrina, an upstanding member of the British aristocracy, and there was certainly something suitably grand about this look. The floor-length kaftan is covered in oversized matte-metallic sequins, giving the relaxed silhouette plenty of impact.

With a piece this heavily embellished, I would usually be tempted to keep the accessories to a minimum, but Joely went in the opposite direction. Her layered gold necklace, statement rings and bracelets could easily have been too much, yet they work with the scale of the kaftan rather than fighting against it.

The gold Tyler Ellis Perry clutch was another natural addition, and I particularly love the necklace here. It breaks up the expanse of sequins and gives the look an extra point of interest. This is maximalism, but Joely wears it well.
