Jennie was honoured at the TIME100 Gala, having been named to TIME’s 100 Most Influential People list that year, which should come as no surprise.

When I think of the BLACKPINK pop star’s style, the pop-princess aesthetic and tulle gowns usually come to mind, but 2026 has seen a noticeable shift. She’s stepping away from those expected choices and leaning into looks with more bite, while still keeping that signature feminine edge. Think back to her Maison Margiela Artisanal look from the Golden Disc Awards in January, and now this Schiaparelli Fall 2026 design.

A gala event would typically see her in a sweeping gown, but this bustier dress goes against that expectation. The sculpted bodice, paired with the black velvet skirt and that sheer tulle panel skimming the hips, introduces a sharper, more directional element that reframes her usual red carpet narrative.

It’s very Teyana Taylor-coded – largely because she was the first to pull from this collection – but it also signals a confident pivot for Jennie.
