Jennie Wore Maison Margiela Artisanal To The 40th Golden Disc Awards

Jennie made a striking appearance at the 40th Golden Disc Awards, celebrating songs released between early November 2024 and late October 2025, at a ceremony held in Taiwan on Saturday.

She stepped onto the red carpet in a custom Maison Margiela Artisanal 2025 gown inspired by look 38 which is Kim Kardashian’s version of the dress, not the one worn by Anya Taylor Joy.

I did not think it was possible, but this gown is even more compelling in red. The colour amplifies both the avant garde construction and the inherent elegance of the design, allowing each sculpted line to register clearly.

On Kim, the look was not flattering, and the addition of the runway mask pushed it into try-hard territory. Here, that noise is stripped away. What remains is the deconstructed tailoring, subtly adjusted to feel modern and assured rather than experimental. The result feels far more wearable without losing its edge.
