Teyana Taylor Wore Ashi Studio Couture To The 2026 NAACP Image Awards
When I saw Teyana Taylor on the red carpet at the 2026 NAACP Image Awards, my reaction was simply, this is more like it.

The actress has been on a generational run this awards season, with the BAFTA look being the exception, so I was happy to see her back on track in this Ashi Studio Spring 2026 Couture black gown.
This is pure craftsmanship, from the moulded, anatomical bodice to the way the draped, structured silk skirt cascades into a dramatic pooling train. The sculpted neckline gives the gown its edge, while the precision of the draping adds to the allure. Every angle works. Every fold feels considered.
It might be another black draped dress to add to the Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown we saw her wear at the Golden Globes, but give me five impeccably crafted black draped gowns over one plum gown that failed to hold up. When the construction is this sharp, repetition is not the issue.
After styling her Late Night Show look with Schiaparelli jewels, this time she opted for yellow gold with black enamel Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. Banana Dot ear clips, along with the Bird on a Rock by Tiffany ring.
Stylist: Wayman Bannerman & Micah McDonald.
