Amanda Seyfried Wore Miu Miu & Prada To ‘The Testament Of Ann Lee’ Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

The press tour for The Testament Of Ann Lee has been rolling since its debut at the Venice Film Festival in September 2025, and throughout that time Amanda Seyfried has been leading the fashion charge, as she did while attending the photocall and premiere during the Berlin Film Festival on Thursday.

Photocall

I have no issue with Amanda’s Miu Miu Spring 2026 black lace dress; the ruffled sleeves are genuinely pretty. Where the look unravels is in the styling choice to layer it over a blue bikini with white trim. Yes, that is how it appeared on the runway, but I always want her to inject a bit of her own perspective. On the runway, I guess you could say it read conceptual; but at this photocall, it just feels misplaced. I understand the desire for contrast, but unless you are poolside, this just does not land.

Premiere

For the evening, she opted for a Prada bronze organza and crinoline gown embellished with sequin embroidery running down the centre, which unfortunately resembles a tyre track slicing through the dress. I will happily say yes to the colour, which is warm enough not to wash her out, and yes to the floral micro-crystal appliqués that add texture. But the stark white inner column interrupts the flow while amplifying the central embellishment.

I am more sad than disappointed by this press tour. Five months in, I am still waiting for the moment that clicks. I used to love her style, but now each look feels slightly adrift. And this is not about Prada or Miu Miu as houses, as she has worn many labels during this press tour.
