Ana de Armas’ Classic Golden Globes Waves Using Kristin Ess
For the 2026 Golden Globes, celebrity hairstylist Halley Brisker was behind Ana de Armas’ sleek, glossy waves, drawing inspiration from the golden era of screen sirens. The goal was clear. Elevate the black Louis Vuitton dress with hair that felt classic, confident and beautifully refined.

“We were inspired by classic Hollywood glamour of the 50s as a neat way to elevate the structured black dress Ana was wearing,” Halley explained. And that balance between polish and allure is exactly what made the final result land so effortlessly on the Golden Globes red carpet.
The process began on towel dried damp hair, where Halley created a deep, low side part to set the foundation for the look. A generous amount of Kristin Ess Blow Dry Mist was worked through the hair to ensure even coverage before blow drying with a medium sized round brush until fully dry. This step was all about shine, smoothness and prepping the hair to hold its shape.
Next came the sculpting phase. Working in medium sized sections around two inches wide and moving from back to front, Halley tonged each section and clipped the curls in place while they cooled. To keep the hair protected throughout the heat styling process, Kristin Ess Heat Protectant Spray was applied to each section before wrapping it around the tong.
Once the hair had fully cooled, all the clips were removed and a light mist of Kristin Ess Working Texture Spray was applied to create a soft base before brushing through. The hair was then pulled across to one side, framing Ana’s face in those unmistakable classic waves that feel cinematic without looking overworked.
The finishing touch was a generous mist of Kristin Ess Workable Hairspray, locking everything in place while keeping the movement flexible and luminous. The result was glossy, and touchable.
