Tessa Thompson joined Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet as Vanity Fair and Amazon MGM Studios celebrated awards season.

The Hedda actress, who we have noticed a marked shift in her style this year, stepped back into familiar dynamic territory for the occasion.

She wore a Schiaparelli Spring 2026 asymmetrical leather top featuring trompe l’oeil breast embossing inspired by the Maison’s archives, paired with an asymmetrical skirt finished with rounded piped pockets.

This is the version of Tessa that has always loved on the red carpet. She excels when the look leans into concept than understated and softness.

The styling supported that idea well. Hair and makeup were kept clean, and the accessories were complementary and minimal. After starting with year in Monse, this felt like a confident return to a style language that suits her presence.

I also have to say that the first photo from her hairstylist is better than the official images on Getty. It feels like Getty were instructed to prioritise capturing the Vanity Fair, Amazon, and MGM Studios logos in the background, which took focus away from the celebrities.
