Jessica Brown Findlay Wore Prada To The 2025 British Independent Film Awards
Jessica Brown Findlay attended the 2025 British Independent Film Awards in London on Sunday, where she showcased what she pulled from the archives.

The British actress wore an archival Prada Fall 2017 Poster Girl dress — a look that anyone who remembers that era of the house will clock instantly. It’s femme-noir fantasy meets art-school mischief.

On the runway, this illustrated artwork appeared on a skirt, but seeing it stretched across the entire dress gives it much more impact. The full print running from bodice to hem amplifies the drama, turning the garment into a moving canvas rather than just a panel of the story. The feathers only heighten that effect, bringing a mischievous flourish that nods directly to the theatrical streak Miuccia Prada was playing with at the time.
The artwork itself was created by Belgian graphic novelist Olivier Schrauwen, whom Miuccia commissioned directly because she wanted something raw and narrative-driven — illustration that felt hand-drawn, slightly chaotic, a bit emotional in all the right ways. These pulp-fiction women appeared across the collection like characters mid-story.
The feather trim added a streak of theatrical humour back then, and it still does now — that very Prada mix of glamour and irony that never quite behaves. I really miss this side of Prada.
On Jessica, the full-body print and the plumage come together beautifully, which she styled with silver sandals. The dress feels nostalgic without losing its edge, and it’s refreshing to see an archival pull that still carries so much bite. This was a genuinely fun and clever red carpet choice.
