Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Givenchy Haute Couture – The Fashion Awards 2018

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature Meghan, Duchess of Sussex In Givenchy - The Fashion Awards 2018

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, joined Rosamund Pike at The Fashion Awards 2018 in London, England on Monday (December 10) to present the Designer of the Year award to Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, who designed her wedding gown.

The royal was attired in custom Givenchy Haute Couture for the awards ceremony.

It was a suitable choice for the awards, but critics might question how appropriate it was in terms of royal protocol given that she wore a dress with bare shoulders and donned black nail polish. Furthermore, she wore open-toe sandals.

When Meghan stepped into the royal spotlight, we wanted her to shake things up. If that includes a bare shoulder, black nails and a peep a her toes that will drive those Daily Mail readers crazy, we are all for it, especially when she looks this good.

I would rank this in her top 10 looks of 2018.

She accessorized with Pippa Small gold bangles and Tamara Mellon ‘Karat’ sandals.

2018 British Independent Film Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the 2018 British Independent Film Awards

There were many more talented ladies who attended the 2018 British Independent Film Awards, which took place in London on Sunday (December 2), and some even followed the pink dress code set by Gemma Arterton and Ellie Bamber.

Naomi Ackie: Now this is how you seduce me in red. The ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ actress also had me captivated with the cape-effect of her look, plus the rainbow hued bag, and dazzling jewels. The jury is still out on the embellished platforms.

Molly Wright: ‘The A Word’ actress looked ever so dreamy in Dior. I know some of you are over these types of sheer, nude tulle gowns, but I’m swept away by the fantasy and beauty of it all.

Jodie Whittaker: Part of the pink posse, I did like Jodie’s APHID ruffled dress, but I feel like a less fussy shoe would’ve been a more elegant option for that step hem.

Felicity Jones In RŪH – 2018 British Independent Film Awards

Felicity Jones In RŪH - 2018 British Independent Film Awards

Felicity Jones didn’t get the pink dress memo for the 2018 British Independent Film Awards, which took place in London on Sunday (December 2).

Instead she opted continue to showcase her recent love for suits, donning a white ensemble with a refined silhouette from RŪH’s Fall 2018 collection.

I like the intellectual twist on the classic blazer with the split, but other than that, this look wasn’t as memorable as the others on this red carpet.

Gemma Arterton In Emilia Wickstead – 2018 British Independent Film Awards

Gemma Arterton In Emilia Wickstead - 2018 British Independent Film Awards

Emilia Wickstead is used to dressing royalty, so to say Gemma Arterton looked regal at the 2018 British Independent Film Awards in London on Sunday (December 2) wouldn’t be a stretch.

The British actress looked supremely elegant in this Spring 2019 cloque gown.

I love how this piece pairs clean, minimalist lines with a pretty pink hue that becomes alluring when you see the open-back.

Jessica McCormack earrings and a sweeping updo completed her look.

Emma Stone In Louis Vuitton – 2018 British Independent Film Awards

Emma Stone In Louis Vuitton - 2018 British Independent Film Awards

Emma Stone attended the 2018 British Independent Film Awards in London on Sunday (December 2).

The actress wore a Louis Vuitton Resort 2019 structured mini dress, styled with Louis Vuitton accessories including the Petite-Malle.

I think the dress is simple, sweet and chic, but I did remind me a helluva lot of the red Dior dress both Selena Gomez and Lucy Hale wore back in 2014.

I don’t want dislike this union, but I really want so much more. I should be trying to locate my socks right about now, but I’m like, “yeah, nice.”

Ellie Bamber In Salvatore Ferragamo – 2018 British Independent Film Awards

Ellie Bamber In Salvatore Ferragamo - 2018 British Independent Film Awards

If I was a betting woman, the safest bet would be Ellie Bamber in Chanel, but not tonight (December 2) for the 2018 British Independent Film Awards.

The actress changed a habit of a lifetime wearing a custom magenta pink Salvatore Ferragamo gown.

Ferragamo aren’t known for their custom red carpet gowns, but on this evidence, perhaps they should create magic like this more often.

There is so much I love about this look: the colour, the lightly puffed sleeves, and the sensual cut out which keeps the look fresh and youthful.

Gold Salvatore Ferragamo and matching pink lip completed her look, which is one of my favourites from Ellie this year. Mostly for the style, but also for the change of pace.
