Noomi Rapace attended the Marrakech International Film Festival for the premiere of her film Mother, which she first unveiled at the 2025 Venice Film Festival.
In Venice, she swept in wearing a glorious Courrèges cape that felt theatrical and beautifully in tune with her instinct for darker, moodier glamour. Marrakech gave us a different chapter: leather. And a lot of it.
Considering how lukewarm the reaction has been to recent Simone Rocha red carpet outings — Ella Purnell, Eve Hewson and Tessa Thompson — I am curious to see whether Noomi could turn the tide.
This puff-sleeved, zipper-trimmed leather dress sits firmly in Noomi’s wheelhouse. The sharpness, the structure, the slight sense of mischief — it all aligns perfectly with her red carpet identity. While some might think the combination of exaggerated sleeves and long gloves tips the look into overkill, on Noomi, it reads as cohesive, not excessive. The gloves don’t swallow her; they extend the attitude she’s always carried on a red carpet.
Rombaut ankle-strap pumps and large gold hoop earrings completed her look.
