After being disappointed by Margot Robbie’s New York premiere look for A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, I was ready for the next outing. And that came the following day, as she turned things around with a style marathon across the city that reminded me why she’s one of my favourites.

Her first look of the day was an archival Celine Spring 2014 tank-style mini dress. Its bold brushstroke print and minimalist cut recall the 1960s mod era, with a clean black-and-white palette, short hemline, and sporty racer neckline capturing that decade’s futuristic, youth-driven energy. Accessories reinforced the vibe: Celine oversized shield sunglasses evoked retro-futuristic – think Courrèges and Cardin, while a structured Celine bag and cuff with a statement handle mirrored the ’60s geometric obsessions. Chunky archive Celine metallic-heeled ankle boots completed the look.

I was swooning over this Christopher Esber Resort 2026 two-piece look styled with Khaite’s Loulou sandals—it feels perfectly in step with the upcoming season. The warm, earthy tones echo the richness of autumn, and I adore the effortless nod to fall’s palette without slipping into anything too heavy. I think brown is gearing up for another very successful fall-winter run on the red carpet.

This shades-of-grey look is very much in line with Phoebe Philo’s ethos of pared-back minimalism sharpened by sensual undertones. I can’t say I’m completely sold on the silhouette of the tucked jacket, but the overall styling—with the Phoebe Philo Score sunglasses, Drive bag, and leather mules—and Margot’s confidence made it work.

For the interview itself, she went bold in a Magda Butrym Fall 2025 fan-detail mini dress. Yes, it leans into Schiaparelli’s playful spirit, and no, it doesn’t immediately appear to be the most practical TV choice. But once seated, the fan didn’t obscure her face—it just added a little drama.

Closing the day, she gave us Saint Laurent cool with a Prince of Wales jacket, Cassandra white tank top, and Nico low-rise jeans. Add the Phoebe Philo Drive bag and Khaite x Oliver Peoples sunglasses, and this look felt like the most relatable of them all. It’s the one I know many will love because it’s both aspirational and easy to replicate.
