Florence Pugh Wore Loewe To The ‘Thunderbolts*’ New York Screening

Florence Pugh might be a chiffon-and-tulle girl at heart (and we’ve had two of those moments in LA and London to prove it), but if there’s one clear message from her Thunderbolts* press tour wardrobe, it’s that leather is the new leading lady.

First stop: the London photocall. I wanted to love it, I really did, but it didn’t quite land. Then she hit Jimmy Kimmel Live! and suddenly the leather redemption arc was real. That look? Easily one of the standouts of the tour.

Now, for the New York screening, Florence stepped out in a custom Loewe leather halterneck dress with an open back, sharp silhouette, and bold cut-outs. It’s sleek, but it is doing a lot of the heavy lifting, as the styling didn’t quite rise to meet it.

Her hair was a noticeably more coiffed from the Good Morning America appearance, but I wish she’d brought back either of the wet-look styles from London—it would’ve added the edge this look needed. The simple black pumps completed the look.

Still, leather suits her. I wonder if we’ll get one more before this tour wraps.
