Florence Pugh Wore Elie Saab Haute Couture To The ‘Thunderbolts*’ London Premiere

I’ve been twiddling my thumbs waiting for the Thunderbolts* press tour to actually kick off. After your lukewarm reception to Florence Pugh’s Stella McCartney look at CinemaCon, I was hoping her next outing would give us a bit more fire. And hallelujah, it did.

For the London screening held at Cineworld Leicester Square, Florence said gothic heroine, but make it couture in Elie Saab Fall 2024 Haute Couture. The black tulle gown, swirling with floral lace and moody appliqués is here to haunt your fashion dreams in the best possibly way. There’s something deliciously dark and romantic about it all.

But what I love most about this look is the makeup. I’ve always said Florence has a bold streak that doesn’t get enough airtime on the red carpet. So, the electric jolt of orange eyeshadow—shaped into a killer cat-eye? Obsessed. It ties in with Thunderbolts, but it’s also just so her. Experimental, expressive, and a bit unexpected.

Add in Ara Vartanian’s onyx and gold jewellery, and you’ve got a look that leans all the way into the “dangerous woman” energy. The slicked-back hair? Perfect cherry on top.

This is everything I’ve ever wanted and more for Florence, so consider me officially excited for the rest of this press tour.
