Ciara Wore Georges Hobeika Couture To ‘The Color Purple’ LA Premiere

Ciara attended the premiere of ‘The Color Purple’ held at The Academy Museum on Wednesday (December 6) in Los Angeles, California.

I’m going to cut right to the chase.  This is sloppy. Embarrassingly so.

Georges Hobeika is a great designer, but dressing a pregnant woman might not be his forte.

The trousers are the most disappointing part of this look.  There is a reason why maternity trousers usually have an elasticated waistband or made from stretchy jersey fabric.

And then we have the length, dragging on the floor to the point where she appears to be standing on her trousers.

I dislike the way the shirt tails are just hanging there aimlessly adding to the sloppiness of the look, and the fabric used to make the cape looks really cheap.

This look would have worked if the designer had created a jumpsuit with the belly revealed.

Adriana Lima’s Balmain 2022 Cannes Film Festival maternity look was more successful in terms of being one fluid look.
