Miu Miu Women’s Tales Venice Film Festival Dinner

The world premiere of The Miu Miu Women’s Tales #26, ‘Stane’ directed Croatian filmmaker Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović, was shown alongside a screening of The Miu Miu Women’s Tales #25 ‘EYE TWO TIMES MOUTH,’ directed by Lila Avilés, on Sunday (September 3), as a part of the 2023 Venice Film Festival Giornate degli Autori program.

The screening was followed by a celebratory dinner and a series of conversations between Miu Miu collaborators discussing the state of the arts and media today.

There was a mini trend on this red carpet, and it was a keyhole mini dress trend with India Amarteifio, and Ever Anderson wearing the same Miu Miu dress in different colourways.

Then you had Sadie Sink who rocked an LBD with multiple cut-outs.

I wasn’t a fan of India’s bag.  And of Ever’s accessories, and Sadie’s white Miu Miu pumps were a mismatch with her look.

When I saw Jenna Coleman in this Miu Miu dress, I thought it was a rerun.

But the familiar feeling comes from this charming vision and the vintage-inspiration of this Miu Miu dress, being a perfect fit for her style.  

Prior to heading to New York for the Soho House Awards, Emma Corrin served up a Miu Miu look that only they would dare make a red carpet look.

While I loved Ava DuVernay’s Prada gown for the ‘Origin’ Venice Film Festival premiere.  I wasn’t sold on this look.

Essentially, I feel that there is too much going on. 

Polka dots were a better fit for Dominique Fishback in this Miu Miu two-piece, and her accessories perfectly complemented the look.

Luca Guadagnino and Prada is a red carpet union I continue to be fully on board with.

Maggie Gyllenhaal didn’t follow the polka dot trend.  This tailored look served up her usual simple elegance.

Am I the only one who feels that Lili Reinhart dresses too old for her age?

I struggled to get on board with Demi Singleton’s Miu Miu look for that deep v-neck alone.

The Auntie in me feels that this is too much for a 16-year-old.

Cailee Spaeny continues the less is more approach in Miu Miu.

I forgot that Sydney Sweeney has this school girl inspired side to her style.

Bombshell, and Armani Sydney remain my favourite.
