Jennie Kim Wore Chanel Haute Couture To ‘The Idol’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere
Blackpink singer-turned-actress Jennie Kim attended the premiere for ‘The Idol’ alongside her co-stars on Monday, which marked her Cannes Film Festival debut.
White gowns (and bridal gowns) have been the unexpected trend of this festival, but none were as charming as Jennie’s Chanel Spring 2020 Haute Couture look which was part sweetheart bustier top and part petticoated skirt.
The styling really helps sell the look.
I would’ve been tempted to remove the black silk tulle cape, but on reflection, I think the dress would’ve been too run-of-the-mill without it.
The cape adds a touch of modernity to the look, while also complementing her hair ribbon, and Chanel bow front sandals, which might just be the only Chanel shoes I truly adore, to which I have to thank Diane Kruger.
