Halle Bailey Wore Valdrin Sahiti To ‘The Little Mermaid’ LA Premiere

Sometimes when I make a statement I always wonder if it will come back to bite me.

I did say that I wasn’t worried about Halle Bailey look for ‘The Little Mermaid’ world premiere following her Gucci gown at the 2023 Met Gala, and I’m glad it came into fruition when the lead actress stepped the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre on Monday (May 8) in Los Angeles, California.

This is because not only did she keep the aquatic theme going in this custom teal Valdrin Sahiti gown, but it also didn’t follow the predictable Disney princess mould which we haven’t really seen since Liu Yifei’s promo tour for ‘Mulan’ which was the last promo tour before the pandemic hit.

I’m particularly enamoured by the glistening sea sparkle and the bodice which looks like rippling water, or the splash impact as water crashes into a rock.

I could gush about this all day long as this look gave me everything I hoped for and more.
