2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards Menswear

Here is a roundup from the 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards held on Saturday (March 4) in Santa Monica, California.

‘Aftersun’ actor Paul Mescal kinda came out of nowhere for me, but he’s swiftly becoming one of my favourite gents on the red carpet this awards season.

Dressed in Gucci, I could’ve been more excited about this look, because this is how you successfully nail the oversize trend with elegance and style.

As you know I am a stickler for trouser length. And oversized had tended to mean super long, but the Irish actor’s tailor deserves a standing ovation.

The last time we saw leather gloves in menswear on the red carpet, many of you said that Kodi Smit-McPhee was giving you serial killer vibes.

I’m confident the answer will be no because the sleekness of the suit and the leather turtleneck.

Ke Huy Quan has been wearing a lot of classic suits during awards season, so I was delighted to see him have a bit more fun in this checked Thom Browne suit.

The ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ actor has been part of the many gents rocking pins with every look this year.

Dwyane Wade joined his wife Gabrielle Union on the red carpet, and by wearing Gucci.

He was looking sharp as ever, but I do kinda wish he had rocked the full striped suit.

Hasan Minhaj brought velvet to the beach wearing a Paul Smith suit.

We haven’t seen much of Daniel Dae Kim on the red carpet, but style wise, not much has changed, as the actor was looking very dapper in this light blue Armani linen suit styled with sneakers.
