2023 BAFTAs Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a menswear roundup from the 2023 BAFTAs, which you won’t be surprised to learn gave us plenty of black classic looks.
Jamie Dornan gave us a classic with a twist as his Valentino blazer featured a purposely exposed white lining which I think framed this piece perfectly.

After briefly switching his suiting colour preference for the Oscars nominees’ luncheon, Austin Butler was back to classic black in Alexander McQueen.
I love how he continues to pay homage to his ‘Elvis’ with the wide lapels.
I know some of you aren’t so enthused with Austin’s run, but you can’t beat a classic.

Regé-Jean Page wore a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure suit which was elevated with the styling.
I particularly love the elegance of the officer collar shirt and the Boucheron Like a Queen brooches.
A Longines timepiece completed his look.

Paapa Essiedu was serving up Regency realness wearing a Hermès suit styled with pair of earrings from the TASAKI Refined Rebellion Collection made of platinum, akoya pearls and diamonds.

It’s the overall nonchalance that is selling Ed Westwick’s Valentino look to me.
It slightly aloof, yet still respecting the occasion.

Colin Farrell and Dolce & Gabbana were made for each other.
I have never been more certain about this.
This Made to Measure black three-piece Martini-fit tuxedo with shawl lapels, is one of the most elegant suits I have seen all awards season from the Italian duo.
He completed the look with Dolce & Gabbana patent derby shoes and a pair of gold cufflinks with onyx studs.

Barry Keoghan, unsurprisingly, stood out wearing a red Alexander McQueen suit.
As we’ve seen above, collars can completely change the mood of a look.
In this case the contrast gives this look more of a contemporary outlook.
An Omega timepiece provided the finishing touch.

Joshua Jackson accompanied his beautiful wife Jodie Turner-Smith wearing a classic dunhill tuxedo.

Rami Malek, who is known for his love for slim-fit suits, rocked a Prada tuxedo with a slightly oversized fit, which marks significant enough change to his signature look.
He styled his suit wit a Cartier brooch.

There were more Cartier brooches to be had on this red carpet, as beautifully showcased by Paul Mescal in Gucci.

I have never been a fan of two-shades of white, but Richard E Grant looks very debonair in his dunhill suit.

As does Bill Nighy, who opted for a longer line dunhill evening jacket.

I love the contrast of Ke Huy Quan’s Stephen Dweck hand carved Mother of Pearl flower pin against his all-black Giorgio Armani suit.
Omega hooked him up with the timepiece.

Toheeb Jimoh wore a Dior Men’s collection black wool notch lapel oblique suit.
