2021 Tony Awards Red Carpet Roundup
Here is a roundup from the 2021 Tony Awards held at Winter Garden Theater on Sunday (September 26) in New York City.
A lot of celebrities/stylist have been digging into the fashion archives, but in Bernadette Peters‘ case, she needed to look no further than her closet for this ‘80s vintage Bob Mackie dress.
I am delighted to see that she gave this iconic dress a red carpet moment, because the first time she wore it (as seen below) it was an encore dress for one of her concerts.
Bernadette Peters looked better than the first time. How is this possible?
She was definitely one of the best on the night for me.
Kathryn Gallagher was not to be missed on this red carpet.
What I love about her custom Derek Lam dress is that the silhouette offers a kind of fluidity that lets the ruby-red colour palette shine.
A Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud XL’ clutch and Alexandre Birman sandals completed her look.
Many of you know how I feel about Naeem Khan’s designs.
Amber Iman’s Fall 2020 look hit all my sweet spots:
Cape. Colour. Embellishments. My head is about to explode.
Those of you who don’t like sheer looks will be happy to see she opted to keep the cape, as the runway image shows how sheer the dress was, even with the embellishments.
Monica Rich Kosann jewels completed her look.
Chrissy Teigen attended the awards ceremony with husband John Legend.
When I saw Chrissy in this Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2020 Couture gown, I wondered if Liberace had been the inspiration.
Sienna Miller is no stranger the Tony Awards, even though this is the type of event you wouldn’t expect to see her on the guest list.
Like previous years, she was there supporting her now ex boyfriend Tom Sturridge.
I adore the detailing on her Dior slip dress. The glasses feel a touch of place on this red carpet, but it seemed to be a homage to her ex.
Thanks to Michael for pointing out that this is infact a re-run. The actress first wore this Dior dress back in 2011.
Patina Miller is usually the life and soul of this event, but on this occasion she opted for a muted
Markarian Fall 2021 floral jacquard cut-out dress accented with Swarovski details.
Adrienne Warren, winner of the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for ‘The Tina Turner Musical’, wore Miu Miu.
I really wanted to love this dress, but I think the crystal embellishments were overkill.
Perhaps I would’ve warmed to them had the skirt not been pleated. I just feel like there is too much going on.
Cartier jewelry completed her look.
I love the green hue on Debra Messing – naturally – but this Monique Lhuillier strapless dress isn’t doing anything for her.
Audra McDonald wore a black Carolina Herrera gown which I was was in a rich jewel tone.
Tiffany Victoria® diamond bracelet, ring and earrings, Tiffany T T1 diamond rings and bangles and Tiffany Victoria® diamond necklaces beautifully intertwined in her hair completed her look.
Jennifer Nettles wore a Marchesa Pre-Fall 2021 dress.
This gown is a fine example of a perfectly tailored silhouette skimming over your body as if it was crafted just for you.
Jasmine Cephas-Jones looked radiant wearing a fuchsia pink Marchesa.
I adore the construction and the black bow at the waist which breaks up and tempers the boldness of the hue.
Wempe jewels completed her look.
Jeanne Cadieu wore a Prada coral draped gown with black satin crystal Prada sandals.
If you’ve been scrolling through this going “meh, meh, meh,” Lauren Patten’s Thom Browne look will grab your attention, for being the most unique red carpet look on the night.
I love the hybrid stripes, the styling which included curved brogue heels, four bar socks and black patent mini Attaché bag.
I’ve never been the biggest fan of raw edges, but she sells this look to me anyway.
