2021 BAFTA Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the other attendees who were either present on the red carpet, or took to the virtual red carpet for the 2021 BAFTA Awards on Sunday (April 11).

Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2020 would’ve been one of my favourites at this event had it not been for that illusion panel.

The tone is a perfect for her skin-tone, but the outline is what gives the game away.

Messika jewels completed her look.

When we think of Miu Miu, suiting doesn’t usually spring to mind; so this was not only a refreshing new look for the brand, but for Rose Byrne as well.

Trust Miu Miu to inject plenty of fun and personality into this look with a cropped blazer that pays homes to the iconic Le Smoking suit.

Messika jewels completed her look.

Kosar Ali was nominated for a Best Actress In A Supporting Role for ‘Rocks.’

Bringing modest fashion to awards season, the actress looked beautiful wearing an Alexander McQueen Spring 2021 ensemble which had been modified from the look book to provide more coverage.

I love how none of the ethereal beauty was lost in the extra layers, in fact, I think her look is infinitely more beautiful, and I adore her Alexander McQueen accessories.

Bukky Bakray accepted the EE Rising Star Award wearing a beautiful custom Prada silk duchess strapless gown in a smooth mauve hue. The asymmetrical drapes may have been a bit busy for some, but I love how they add texture to this look.

Silver Prada sandals and Chopard jewels completed her look.

Phoebe Dynevor reminds me just how stunning a simple black dress can look on the red carpet.

You might be surprised to learn this is from Louis Vuitton, as the red carpet gowns presented by the brand have been much more detailed this season.

LV does minimalist.  Who knew?

British director Emerald Fennell’s film ‘Promising Young Woman’ was awarded Best British Film and Best Original Screenplay at the event.

She marked the occasion wearing an ethereal Roland Mouret custom dress, inspired a the pink version which took to the designers Fall 2020 runway.

Between the colour and the extra layers, which prevent the look from appearing sheer, I prefer Emerald’s version of this dress.

I’m not sure Celeste’s Dilara Findikoglu dress will go down too well, but I absolutely love it.

Celeste doesn’t follow any style rules, and I love how this is off the beaten track in Gothic terms, yet still feels very glam.

I’m glad she added the necklace, as it adds to the weird wonderfulness of it all.

Sophie Cookson kept things simple, classic and chic in Giorgio Armani.

Niamh Algar wore a gorgeous ruffled orange dress from the Valentino Spring 2021 collection.
