Dua Lipa Wore Giambattista Valli Haute Couture For Billboard Women In Music 2020

Dua Lipa performed her single ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ at Billboard’s Women In Music 2020 event, which was broadcast on Thursday (December 10).

The British singer has been receiving plenty of accolades for her music, and at this event she was presented with the Powerhouse Award, which is given to an act whose music is dominated streaming, sales and radio.

Following the release of her second album, ‘Future Nostalgia,’ earlier this year, and a record-breaking livestream, Studio 2054, I expect the singer to clean up at the 2021 Grammys, where she has been nominated six times.

A Powerhouse Award deserves a powerhouse performance, and with that, a powerhouse gown.

So up stepped Giambattista Valli, whose love for tiered tulle was on display once again, with structured, peplum-style bodice for a touch of modernity; yet the look still oozes the romantic nature we all know and love.

We closely associate Sofia Carson with Giambattista Valli, but Dua also appeared to be the designers muse for a while, as she wore the designer to many major events including the 2018 American Music Awards, 2018 BRIT Awards, and the 2017 BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards.
