Meghan, Duchess of Sussex Wore Preen For The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust in Conversation

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Harry, Duke of Sussex may have technically carried out their final royal appearance before they step back from their roles, but they shared details about the meeting via their Sussex Royal Instagram post, explaining that they had hosted a conversation with young leaders from the Queens Commonwealth Trust network.

“The group met at Buckingham Palace to discuss mental health, equal opportunities for all, and the importance of supporting youth leadership to help address global challenges and drive positive change around the world,” the post explained.

Meghan, who’s journey in colour has been inspiring and uplifting to many of us, opted for a warm caramel hue in this Preen By Thornton Bregazzi Glenda asymmetric plissé-georgette dress from the Resort 2020 collection.

I’ll admit, I was really worried when I saw the picture at first, because I wondered how that elasticated waist would work on Meghan, as we all know she has a short torso.

Did she add a belt?  Would she go without the belt and the asymmetric shape render unflattering on her?

I had so many questions for a single image.

Thankfully there was also a video of the encounter, and I was pleasantly surprised – shocked if I’m really honest – that this dress worked, and none of my fears were realized.
