Penelope Cruz Wore Ralph & Russo Couture To The 2020 Goya Awards

Penelope Cruz Wore Ralph & Russo Couture To The 202 Goya Awards

Following The ‘Wasp Network’ Paris premiere, Penelope Cruz returned to Spain for the 2020 Goya Cinema Awards held at the Jose Maria Martin Carpena Sports Palace on Saturday (January 25) in Malaga.

As we all know by now, the Goya Cinema Awards is Spain’s version of the Oscars, which was hosted by Silvia Abril and Andreu Buenafuente this year.

It was refreshing to see the Penelope reach for something other than her expected signatures – black and Chanel, but does that mean we are going to fall head over heels in love with this Ralph & Russo Fall 2019 Couture pink and green floral organza gown?

For me, it’s a case of loving the bottom half more than the top half.

The right side of my brain is admiring the embellished silk thread-work, cut-out flower motifs, rosaline crystals, and how the white and mint plissé silk organza frills enrich the piece, while the left side of my brain is telling me that it’s a little (or a lot) overworked; even for a Couture piece.

Would less have been more on this occasion, or do you love the drama that this piece brought to the red carpet?

Atelier Swarovski by Penelope Cruz Fine Jewelry completed her look.

What is gorgeous is the skirt, and the structure of top doesn’t selling it well.

I think it’s a bold choice for her and it’s lovely. She’s beautiful.

The skirt looks cute but the top is meh. And i don’t like this on Penelope

This doesn’t look like her at all.

I love it. She looks like a painting

The colours and floral pattern is very pretty but the gown looks overwrought on the bottom half. I’m pleased however that it’s not black or another ageing Chanel look.

The dress is too busy, and borderline dated, but her beauty still shines through! She’s so pretty, and I like her hair like that, it’s also nice seeing her in some color.

I actually really love that it’s over the top, especially because that’s something so unusual for her. The colours look amazing together and on her and the understated styling makes it work. Love every bit of it!

This dress has too much going on, I don’t like it. She looks beautiful hair and makeup wise.

This would be much better without the sleeves and that weird shoulder detail. The top is just way overworked.

Wow. This seems so different for Penelope.
I agree with Catherine. I like th bottom half more than the top half.
Its colourful, but the top just seems cheap. Its the illusion netting that makes it that way of course.
I am glad she tried something different. Its not the best dress though.

I’ll take this over any other Chanel dress. Is bold & colurful wish is something she almost never does. It’s very refreshing.

I’m gonna have to say the design is way overworked, the skirt in particular looks excessively fussy, and the top with that nude panel looks like a figure skating costume design. I have to say, I’m used to seeing a bit more refinement from R&R.

Yes. That’s it. The top part looks like a figure skating costume design. I was racking my brain to think what it reminded me of.

You pegged it with the skating costume reference. I think this dress is pretty horrible,

It’s true that the skirt part is better than the top, but the colours are gorgeous!

I’m 100% in love with this look.
