Queen Letizia of Spain In Massimo Dutti & Pedro del Hierro – ‘Vega-3’ & ‘Fausto’

Queen Letizia of Spain In Pedro del Hierro - 'Vega-3' & 'Fausto'

Queen Letizia of Spain made a return to the spotlight after her summer break in Majorca that she recently returned from.

Laser ‘Vega-3’ Inauguration: I love the fresh feel of this Massimo Dutti dress, and how the playful polka squares brings a charming effect to the sumptuous pleats. As for shoes, sleek styling was always going to involve matching her pumps and belt to the colour of the polka squares.

‘Fausto’: The Queen joined her husband King Felipe for a night at the opera on Wednesday (September 18), to watched a new production of ‘Faust’ – which marks the start of the new season for 2019 in Madrid. I was immediately blown away by her navy-blue jumpsuit by Pedro del Hierro. Incorporating the two things I love: a jumpsuit and a cape, I was also captivated by the asymmetric neckline. Styling the look with a simple navy clutch by Felipe Varela and exquisite sapphire Bulgari diamond drop earrings, this was the perfect way to let everyone know that the Queen had arrived.

Penelope Cruz In Chanel ‘Todos Lo Saben’ Madrid Photocall & Premiere

Penelope Cruz In Chanel 'Todos Lo Saben' Madrid Photocall & Premiere

It will likely come as no surprise that Penelope Cruz was dressed in two Chanel looks at the ‘Todos Lo Saben’ Madrid photocall and premiere on Wednesday (September 12) in Spain.

Photocall: Although her photocall look did rely on her go-to colour, I was grateful for the addition of the white striped motif to add a bit more dynamic quality to the black dress.

Premiere: Similar to her last two looks at the Toronto International Film Festival, I couldn’t really get enthused about this third run of black lace. And, I definitely was wishing for a more shapely silhouette to complement her figure.

Vogue España 30th Anniversary Party

Aside from Irina Shayk, Nieves Alvarez and Goya Toledo there were plenty more party people who helped Vogue España celebrate their 30th anniversary party on Thursday (July 12) in Madrid, Spain.

Nerea Barros: I know many of you don’t have much love for Stella McCartney, but you have to admit this creation is one of her best. I love how this simple silhouette is transformed into something special with the ruffled shoulder detail.

Karlie Kloss: As this event was co-hosted by Carolina Herrera, I wasn’t surprised to see her favourite model Karlie Kloss at this event. The model delved into the archives for this vintage Carolina Herrera Fall 2002 shimmering coat dress. As you know I’m often frustrated with Karlie’s red carpet choices, but this one is radiant and feels modern despite the vintage label.

Ursula Corbero: You’ll no doubt recognise this Balmain Resort 2019 dress, as it’s similar to the one Beyonce Knowles recently worn on her ‘On The Road’ tour.

Irina Shayk In Isabel Marant – Vogue España 30th Anniversary Party

Irina Shayk joined Nieves Alvarez and Goya Toledo for the Vogue España 30th anniversary party on Thursday (July 12) in Madrid, Spain.

We’re used to high glamour from the Russian model, but on this occasion it appears that she took a day off.

I like the idea of this more relaxed look from Isabel Marant’s Fall 2018 collection on Irina, but let’s face it, it’s doing nothing for her.

Not only do I find this look terribly unflattering, she also appears to be wearing the wrong size/or style of bra.

It’s a shame this didn’t work out, as I love the colour and the leopard print bag.

Nieves Alvarez In Carolina Herrera – Vogue España 30th Anniversary Party

Nieves Alvarez joined Goya Toledo in helping Vogue España celebrate its 30th anniversary with a party held at Casa Velazquez on Thursday (July 12) in Madrid, Spain.

The model also wore a Carolina Herrera Resort 2018 dress which was supremely elegant, but it was the hat that really drew my focus.

While these style of hats/fascinators are usually reserved for Kentucky Day or Royal Ascot, it was intriguing to see how the look gave the model such a glowing regal air that didn’t feel forced or pretentious.

Goya Toledo In Carolina Herrera – Vogue España 30th Anniversary Party

Goya Toledo helped Vogue España celebrate its 30th anniversary with a party held at Casa Velazquez on Thursday (July 12) in Madrid, Spain.

We don’t see the Spanish actress that often on the red carpet, and when we do, she’s usually decked out in Elie Saab.

On this occasion she opted for she sweet elegance of Carolina Herrera.

Her fairytale moment was delivered via this lilac polka dot dreamy strapless gown which probably should’ve been saved for awards season or one of the European Film Festivals, but you’ll get no complaints from me, as I would adore seeing this look in any setting.

If you’re having a case of deja vu, that possibly due to the fact that Brie Larson wore a similar dress from Resort 2019 collection.

Paz Vega In Paco Rabanne – Netflix’s ‘Paquita Salas’ Season 2 World Premiere

Paz Vega attended the world premiere of Netflix’s ‘Paquita Salas’ Season 2 on Thursday (June 28) in Madrid, Spain.

The Spanish actress wore her second look from the Paco Rabanne, this time selecting a look from the Spring 2018 collection.

I adore the sensual finesse from the dress which is asymmetrical cut and angled, but one can’t ignore how the ruching and silver poppers bringing some drama.

You may remember that Gigi Hadid wore this same look last year.
