Helen Mirren attended the LA premiere of the new HBO Limited Series ‘Catherine The Great’ on Thursday (October 17).
Is this Helen’s greatest red carpet look of all time?
I’m going to have to say yes. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t really like taffeta.
The British actress was exuding that regal air, which only a few outside the 26 monarchies around the world truly possess, wearing a Badgley Mischka Resort 2020 turquoise blue custom crepe gown with a matching floor-length taffeta coat.
This has just about everything.
Drama, colour, volume, a floor-sweeping cloak and gown. Everything paid homage to the style of Catherine the Great, without feeling at all costumey.
That’s a feat in itself.
David Webb jewels and a beautiful touch via a purple Judith Leiber clutch completed her look.
Lee Harris, her stylist, really outdid himself on this one.
Remember what I was saying yesterday about October being the month BDOTY worthy gowns? At this rate imma need to start again.
